Akiko the Geisha Custom MLP

Inspired by my last custom Masuyo the Geisha, I decided to try a more "wild" and "modern" version of a geisha pony and came up with Akiko (which means "bright child" in Japanese), was sold with proceeds of her selling price to Global Giving to help with the relief efforts in Japan and the Pacific!

She started out as a G3 Skywishes, and her kimono is made out of several layers of authentic Japanese origami paper, and her obi (sash) is several layers of ribbon. Her dress was sealed with many layers of Modge Podge so it would not tear or crumple.

I painted her white face paint with Creatix paints in the same style as geisha paint, and then painted the rest of her face with various artist's acrylics and India ink. Her blush was added very carefully with chalk pastels. She was again sealed.

Her hair is authentic MLP hair in Black Magick, and her hair is styled and silk roses, pearlized hair pins, and garland. She is one of a kind and has been signed on the bottom of her hooves.
