This little gal is my most recent obsession, taking me much longer than expected from start to finish. First I ordered her DH "After Midnight" colored hair, then realized I wanted to add a bit of shimmer to it so then ordered DH "Moonlight" hair. Sculpting took a while for her, since I have not yet done anything quite this complicated, but I spread it out over several nights as to not overwhelm myself.

After she was sculpted with apoxy, I then painted her. Her skin tone alone is about 5 different shades of purple, with a silver shimmer added on top. After she was painted and detailed, I then added the hair. I ended up not ordering enough, so had to order more- she has really long hair!! In the meantime I also ordered feathers for her- which I ended up ordering off of ebay from a very nice seller. I finished her hair, and as I was gluing on her head some of her paint chipped. So repainting that spot took awhile.

Then I added the feathers. I have never worked with feathers before, but I ended up snipping the tips off of the feathers and trimming some to make them the size and shape I wanted. The boyfriend wasn't very pleased with the mess made by that! haha! Anyways, I glued those on with regular super glue, and then sealed her a few times with modge podge just to insure her paint would not chip off again.

Overall, even though she took much longer than I would have liked, I am very pleased with how she turned out. More pics can be found at my photobucket:
