I'd swear i was looking at Soarin.
Here's what I've done so far:
•I designed out her mane and tail over a Lucky Swirl picture via SumoPaint
•I've sculpted over her mane and tail a little bit with Crayola Air Dry clay. I smoothed it out with a little hand lotion so it won't crack, and it worked pretty well.
Any tips after this? I need to paint it yet, but like, tips for how to do the eyes. Also what sealant do you use? The one I use is crap. PLease help me!! Thanks!
Well, I personally hate the crayola clay, because it likes to crack and get all crumbly!
For the eyes, its a lot of practice because they are SO SMALL! I use a tiny paintbrush.
And I seal everything with Testors Dullcote or Glosscote. Its found in spray cans at your local craft shop. Its expensive but it isn't crappy!
UGH I know! I REALLY want better clay, preferrabely sculpy or something.
I had a really tiny paintbrush once, size 000 I think, but all the bristles fell out because it was really small... >.< I use a different small paintbrush now, and that works just fine... I've gone over the eyes on several different ponies, so I'm a little better at it now! I finished Colgate/Minuette earlier today. I'll post pics later if you want to see how it turned out!
I've recently started using ModPodge to seal my customs... I had the spray stuff, but it didn't really work for me and stunk up my room after I came in from doing it outside. I guess the smell sticks to clothes and the custom itself... should've left them outside in a box overnight or something to let them air out first... Oh well. Too late to do them over again now! lol
Also, even though it says non-yellowing, it still turned yellow, like on the white parts... I just don't really care for the spray.
Sorry this was so long and rambly!
