Here's probably my fave Blind Bag custom I've done to date: Wonderbolt Spitfire!!! When choosing what to do with my Blind Bag figures, my hubby said "You HAVE to make Spitfire, she looks SO cool" sooo here she is. <3

Her base is a Blind Bag Pinkie Pie, who was REALLY altered and sculpted with Apoxie Sculpt. She was handpainted and sealed.

The Rainbow Dash in the last picture is the Hasbro official Blind Bag pony, and not a custom. She just really liked Spitfire. <3

She is SOLD. I do occasionally take commissions on other custom My Little Ponies, please see under my DeviantID for more info!

Comments and faves appreciated. Please do not repost without permission!

How did you make the hair look different than pinkies? I have been searching all over for tutorials or advice to do it!

Well, what else are they called... Ponyville I think? They are itty bitty ponies that usually come in a "random bag" aka blind bag. Here in the US they now have 4 waves out!

OMG THIS IS SOOOOO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! I'm trying to make a Colgate/Minuet blind bag custom out of a Lucky Swirl (Basically Twilight but with different colors) base. Any tips?

Here's what I've done so far:
•I designed out her mane and tail over a Lucky Swirl picture via SumoPaint
•I've sculpted over her mane and tail a little bit with Crayola Air Dry clay. I smoothed it out with a little hand lotion so it won't crack, and it worked pretty well.

Any tips after this? I need to paint it yet, but like, tips for how to do the eyes. Also what sealant do you use? The one I use is crap. PLease help me!! Thanks!

Thanks!!!

Well, I personally hate the crayola clay, because it likes to crack and get all crumbly!

For the eyes, its a lot of practice because they are SO SMALL! I use a tiny paintbrush.

And I seal everything with Testors Dullcote or Glosscote. Its found in spray cans at your local craft shop. Its expensive but it isn't crappy!

Np! ^.^

UGH I know! I REALLY want better clay, preferrabely sculpy or something.
I had a really tiny paintbrush once, size 000 I think, but all the bristles fell out because it was really small... >.< I use a different small paintbrush now, and that works just fine... I've gone over the eyes on several different ponies, so I'm a little better at it now! I finished Colgate/Minuette earlier today. I'll post pics later if you want to see how it turned out!

I've recently started using ModPodge to seal my customs... I had the spray stuff, but it didn't really work for me and stunk up my room after I came in from doing it outside. I guess the smell sticks to clothes and the custom itself... should've left them outside in a box overnight or something to let them air out first... Oh well. Too late to do them over again now! lol
Also, even though it says non-yellowing, it still turned yellow, like on the white parts... I just don't really care for the spray.

Sorry this was so long and rambly! ^^;
