And yet another itty bitty custom pony- this time a version of the G1 pony Chief for a trade with *Busoni

His base was a Blind Bag Rainbow Dash who was altered, sculpted with apoxie, and hand-painted in acrylics. He was sealed with dullcote and gloss varnish on his eyes and swept over his hair for highlights.

He is not for sale. I do occasionally take commissions on custom My Little Ponies, please see under my DeviantID for more info!

also, how easy is apoxie to use? I've been looking to customize my own blind bags, but I'm not sure how well I'll do...

You say it was made from a Rainbow Dash? Interesting. Cus I don't see any wings on this figure? Did you have to take them off? If so, how did you do that without damaging the figure?

Yup! I sliced em and diced em! I used an exacto knife and a LOT of sanding!

Yikes! Sounds very fiddilly looking at the size of the figure. Mind, I wouldn't be able to do it without feeling really guilty about it. In my head there would be a voice saying, or rather shouting, "Those are Dash's wings man!"

But all the same, really good work!

Also odd random question but I really wanna give the Twilight and RD in my collection a little haircut to make them more like the show but I don't know how to go about it. I was just wondering if you had any tips?

Big tip for those guys is-- boiling water!!! I boil the water and carefully pour it over their hair (again, carefully!) to get it to lay how I want. Then trim!!
